A full refurbishment and extension onto a 1930s house in the Clifton area of York.
The story begins with the new owners who wanted to put right many of the peculiar alterations and additions that had taken place over the course of many years. The way the house will be used was a key driver in the design process. Both owners work from home and wanted to create clear boundaries, while retaining flexibility.
The proposals restore some of the original charm and form of the 1930s house and create a new identity for the additions to the rear of the property. The project completed in January 2019, photographs will be available soon.
